Frankincense and Myrrh…

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2016!

Last year, I got acquainted with Hydrogen water, which seems to be the same water at Lourdes, France. Since miracle after miracle have been reported at Lourdes, which is the #2 most visited place in the world after Paris, there must be something more than blind faith in this Hydrogen water, right?

This year, I am fascinated by the essential oil craze that has taken the world by storm, especially frankincense.

Now, I grew up singing that Christmas carol “We Three Kings” so I am familiar with the line “frankincense, gold and myrrh” that was offered to the baby Jesus:

Reading up on essential oils, I find that frankincense is THE holy grail for skincare because this essential oil is supposedly anti-aging, blemish-removing, scar-reducing with an uplifting sweet aroma. Wow, right?

Here’s a highly rated brand of Sacred Frankincense (boswellia sacra):

Emperor’s Oil Pure Frankincense Essential Oil Boswellia Sacra for internal and external use (5ml)

Tisserand Frankincense Wild Crafted Essential Oil (9 ml)

I became a Young Living member and bought the Premium Starter Kit, which has frankincense carterii among its set of 10 essential oils.

I have been applying it topically (not diffusing it because it’s so expensive) and know why it’s now THE holy grail.

If you’d like to try out Young Living’s Frankincense essential oil, click here to purchase from my member account. You can also purchase the Premium Essential Kit, which contains 1 diffuser + 10 everyday essential oils + additional bottles of Lavender and Lemon + a unique calming blend named “Stress Away”)

If you’d like to know more about Young Living oils and its loyalty rewards programme (free oils every 3, 6, 9 months), do contact me here.

If you’re not ready for YL but still want to try Frankincense essential oil, do make sure that it’s not US$10 per bottle.

Frankincense essential oil is sourced from Ethiopia where the boswellia trees are in danger of extinction due to cow and insect attacks. How can it be cheap then? I am pretty sure that US$10 bottles do not contain pure essence of frankincense.

Mountain Rose Herbs gets good reviews and frankincense is priced at US$68.99 per 15 ml (0.5 fl oz).

Give it a try and do let me know if you love it as much as I do!
