How are you doing? Me – I am on the look out for a tinted moisturizer namely the Laura Mercier because I am currently experiencing clogged pores and breakouts from my regular sunblock.
I am a long-term user of Clinique’s 1-2-3 Basic Skin Care range and had been using the Clinique Derma White Bright C Stick Makeup (stick foundation) since it was launched in 2010 (now discontinued) with no issues.
I’ve also tried Bobbi Brown’s compact and concealer (Banana) but nope, I can feel my pores (especially my nose area) clogged up.
P.S. Did you know that Bobbi Brown has SOLD off her Bobbi Brown cosmetics business?
According to Paula’s Choice’s tips for choosing the right foundation, I now know that people with combination skin like me should:
a) Stay away from stick foundations like the Clinique Derma White Vit C and also a Bobbi Brown one I used for a while and
b) Look for tinted moisturizers
– then why does Clinique Super City Block SPF 40 NOT work?
Reading the reviews by TheVenusFace for the best tinted moisturizers for oily skin, I find out that I should shop for:
Also, the oil-free version dries up REALLY FAST so you need to apply it quickly after your moisturizer.
Quite a mouthful! but it’s cheaper than Laura Mercier.
– Provides sheer coverage that blends perfectly with skin
– Defends skin against sun damage
– Leaves a flawless complexion with a natural glow
“I love this tinted moisturiser, I wear it when I can’t be bothered with make up but don’t want to feel completely bare face. It is defiantly very light coverage in my opinion, but I say that as someone who use to wear full coverage all the time. It’s like your face but a bit better.”
ORIGINAL SPF 15 Foundation gives you all the flawless coverage you want with a naturally luminous finish that won’t clump or cake. It’s proven to improve the appearance of your skin over time. The creamy minerals diminish the look of fine lines and wrinkles without drying out your skin. Its silky, soft texture looks like a powder, but feels like a cream and buffs on beautifully. Made with only the purest, highest quality ingredients.
