The MP3 player

17 May, 2012

I forgot to share that I FINALLY found the MP3 player I was looking for although it cost me RMB150.

It’s quite a simple gadget where I can transfer MP3 music from my laptop via a USB cable.

It’s nice to have music fill up the home again :D

His Chinese teacher even gave me some Chinese children’s songs he could listen to, which reminds me that I should ask her for more!

The kids enjoy listening and dancing to the songs in the evening sometimes when I say “NO TV!”.

I am supposed to be able to listen to the radio stations too but the toddler has been pressing and pressing the buttons that I can’t find the menu anymore!

One evening, something scary happened when I plugged in the cable to charge it: BOOM!!!

Yup, there was an explosion! And the electricity supply was cut off -_-

I was shocked and the kids scampered onto the sofa watching in fear. Since it was getting dark, I called Hubby but he was still stuck at the office.

Over the phone, he taught me how to flip the fuse switch (???) but nothing happened. This means that I had to go down to the maintenance office to ask for help.

Of course, the kids were delighted to go out for a late evening walk – I was thankful to the building supervisor who came up quickly to restore our electricity supply.

That little mishap taught me how dangerous electrical items can be. Hubby told me to toss out the charger since we could use a USB cable to charge the player too. This reminds me that I need to get some cable cover too – I don’t want the kids’ scooters running over wires!
