Good bye, Elizabeth Taylor

3 May, 2012

Recently, I found out that Elizabeth Taylor died in March this year at the age of 79.

I’m a huge fan of Elizabeth Taylor because she’s a fantastic actress, she’s a stylish woman and most of all, she was dedicated in the fight against AIDS.

According to this news article by CNN,

“Taylor was a champion for a number of charitable causes, notably the fight against AIDS. She founded the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation after the death of her friend Rock Hudson, and plowed both her time and money into its work, especially as her acting career waned in the 1980s. The BBC once noted that her charity work had grossed as much as her film career.”

If you’ve not seen her movies, you should watch Cleopatra.

The role of Cleopatra is not an easy one, what more the lavish Egyptian costumes but Elizabeth Taylor looked beautiful and majestic in all of them.

How many women do you know can look good in this get-up:

Or even carry off such thick kohl eyeliner and blue eye shadow???

But she could.

She was a legend even if she had eight husbands.

Elizabeth Taylor was also known for her beautiful skin.

With so many “celebrities” out there nowadays who are ALL about themselves, magnanimous celebrities like Elizabeth TAylor with be greatly missed. Hopefully, someone else will follow in her footsteps especially in terms of fighting for a cause.
