we have a din tai fung in LA too. tried it once. a bit pricey but food is very good!!!! it is also quite far drive for us and there always a line. the last time we went and saw a huge line waiting outside, so we left and went to another restaurant instead.

Jacss - Yup, the xiao long bao is well done and this coming from someone who doesn't like pork :-) Ooh, I didn't know Din Tai Fung is a franchise. The double boiled chicken soup's really, really good!

Paik Ling - Hehehe, I count my blessings everyday! I think I was eating a free cookie from the local airline. I'm camera-shy ma...

Gardens Mid Valley? In general, I stay away from pricey food outlets. Since we're in Shanghai, we had to try Din Tai Fung esp as our hosts were really enthusiastic about it.

How nice to have a surprise like that?? I don't even get a surprise to go to Pulau Ketam wei!!! :) Hey, what were you snacking on in the cab, or was that the side profile of your hubs? Speaking of which, how come no photos of you EVER on the blog? A Din Tai Fung branch opened at the Gardens Mid Valley. Rather pricey though......
